Terms of Service

Welcome to MetisLooks. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MetisLooks mobile application ("App") operated by MetisLooks ("we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use MetisLooks. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent.

2. Account

You must provide a valid email address and a unique username to create an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
One account per person. Sharing accounts is not permitted.
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

3. AI-Only Content Policy

MetisLooks is exclusively for AI-generated content. All photos and videos uploaded to MetisLooks must be created using artificial intelligence tools (e.g. image generators, video generators, AI art tools).

Uploading non-AI-generated content (real photographs, camera recordings, manually created artwork) is strictly prohibited.
You may optionally share the AI prompt and model used to create your content.
Content that violates this policy will be removed. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban.

3a. AI Verification Tiers

MetisLooks uses a two-tier verification system to indicate how the AI origin of each post was determined. Every post displays a shield badge:

Green Shield — Metadata Verified:

AI origin was automatically detected from embedded file metadata (EXIF, XMP, IPTC DigitalSourceType, C2PA content credentials).
The AI model name is extracted automatically (e.g. "Google Gemini", "DALL-E", "Stable Diffusion").
No manual confirmation required from the uploader.
If reported, the post is reviewed with the uploader and audited against our AI content policy before any action is taken.

Purple Shield — Self-Declared:

AI metadata was not found in the file (common when the image was screenshotted, re-saved, or the AI tool does not embed metadata).
The uploader must manually select the AI model used and confirm that the content is AI-generated.
Self-declared uploads are subject to faster removal if reported, as they cannot be independently verified via metadata.

This tiered system encourages creators to upload original files with intact metadata, improving trust and transparency across the platform.

4. Prohibited Content

You must not upload or share content that:

Is not AI-generated (see Section 3)
Contains illegal material under the laws of India or the United States
Depicts real individuals without their consent (including AI-generated deepfakes)
Contains sexually explicit material involving minors (real or AI-generated) — see our CSAE Policy
Promotes violence, terrorism, hate speech, or discrimination
Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
Contains malware, spam, or misleading information

5. Content Ownership and License

You retain ownership of the AI-generated content you upload to MetisLooks, subject to the rights of the AI tools used to create it.

By uploading content, you grant MetisLooks a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and serve your content through the App and associated services (e.g. CDN delivery, share links, feed thumbnails). This license exists solely to operate the App and ends when you delete the content or your account.

6. Reporting and Moderation

Users can report posts that violate these Terms using the Report button on any post.
Reports will be reviewed within 14 days and appropriate actions will be taken (content removal, account warning, suspension, or ban).
We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend any account at our discretion if it violates these Terms.
Moderation decisions can be appealed by contacting us at the email below.

7. Rate Limits and Fair Use

Uploads are limited to 10 posts per user per day.
Automated uploads, scraping, or use of bots is prohibited.
We reserve the right to adjust rate limits to maintain service quality.

8. Privacy

Your use of MetisLooks is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

MetisLooks is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use the App at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MetisLooks and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, content, or access.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from the Settings screen. Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. For users in the United States, applicable US federal and state laws also apply. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in India, unless otherwise required by local law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users (e.g. in-app notice).
